Online conversations on soil health

Our guests start with a short presentation, followed by conversation with participants.

Authors David R. Montgomery and Anne Biklé will talk about their latest book, What Your Food Ate: How to Heal Our Land and Reclaim Our Health to tell the long and tangled story of humanity’s relationship with nature’s greatest wallflower—the soil beneath our farms and gardens.

Throughout history societies that degraded their soil did not last, and yet we seem headed in this direction again.  But there is another path to take. We can bring soil back to life and in doing so, improve the health of the land and the well-being of people. Weaving together science, history, and personal experience, they’ll illuminate the forgotten practices and new thinking in agriculture, medicine, and nutrition that can serve as our compass on the journey ahead into a future with soil.
