DONATE ALL OR PART OF YOUR STATE TAX REFUND TO THE HEALTHY SOIL PROGRAM TO SUPPORT FARMERS AND RANCHERS IN SOIL STEWARDSHIP:
Any New Mexico tax paying resident who qualifies for a refund on their personal income tax return can voluntarily donate all or part of their refund to the Healthy Soil Program administered by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA).
If you are due a refund on your New Mexico Personal Income Tax, you have the opportunity to donate all or part to a special fund using the PIT- D, Schedule for New Mexico Voluntary Contributions, when you file your taxes.
Over 600 individual donations are typically received every year. Thank you and let’s keep it going!
Please note that NM Healthy Soil Working Group is not affiliated with the NM Department of Agriculture. Your tax refund donation will exclusively be used to fund the Healthy Soil Program under the Department of Agriculture. The Working Group is an independent nonprofit organization and will not receive any donations made to the Healthy Soil Program under the NM Department of Agriculture.
Participating is as easy as 1-2-3:
1. Read the Voluntary Contributions Instructions: 2025 PIT-D Instructions
2. Download the Voluntary Contributions Schedule: 2025 PIT-D Form
3. Enter your contribution to the HEALTHY SOIL PROGRAM on line 17.
